What I do
Learning is not a mysterious thing. Most of the time it just needs someone to look hard at what's actually being asked of people, and build backwards from there. That work splits roughly in two: deciding what capability is needed and how it will be measured, and then building the thing that delivers it.
Strategy and design
- Education strategy and operating models: how a function is structured, staffed and held to account
- Capability and competency frameworks: what good looks like, written so it can actually be assessed
- Performance and development program design: PDP cycles people engage with rather than endure
- Leadership development and culture programs: measured with surveys and focus groups, not assumed
- Curriculum design, review and accreditation readiness: from accreditation requirements to a sequence that teaches
Design and delivery
- Assessment design and implementation: assessment that measures competence, not recall
- Online learning, scenario and multimedia design: courses people complete rather than abandon
- Teaching and facilitation: from coaching one educator to lifting capability across a whole team
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment: delivery and assessment for TAE candidates
Who that work has been for
Universities and health services, national peak bodies and registered training organisations, and teams inside regulators and government. Most of it is in health and clinical education, though the principles travel.
